What aspect of stereo reproduction is the most important to you? 1) Stereo imaging, 2) Tonal accuracy, 3) Sea-to-Sky frequency range, or 4) Pretty speakers?

How do you take your caviar? Does your system image well over a wide sweet spot? Do you have a preference between analog and digital?

Which sounds better: silver or gold RCA connectors?

Is it better to have a decent system that allows all recordings to sound good, or to have a top of the line system that might make some not-so-hot recordings no fun to listen to?

Okay, so the pets one was kind of silly, but who cares? It's all just for fun anyway. I'm not looking for any revelations, just a pulse of opinions about some current audio trends of ideas.

Why is it so difficult for audiophiles to find a playback system they can live with for the long term (years!)?

Where readers live: broken down by city, suburbs, rural areas. And ask them where they live: Northeast, Midwest, Rocky Mountains, Europe, etc.

Would you like to see Stereophile do more reviews of classic speakers - KLH, Allison, Advent, JBL, etc?

What are the critical issues for you in selecting a new compotent. Every audiophile knows that selection of a new compontent is a choice of good and less good. What the elements you determine most important?

Ask your readers to recommend the products (amplifier, preamp, CD player, speakers, etc) they would buy today within a specified price range and why they would consider these products.

I can tell from the vote on cats and dogs that you are in need of suggestions. I would like to know if any readers have used an aftermarket "mod" house to improve standard high end gear. If they have, have they been satisfied or not? Why?
