Hola,
Way back in the day, there was an article about stereo imaging that, as I recall, said that stereo imaging that occurred to the "outside" of your speakers was not so much "intentional imaging" in those areas as it was more of an artifact of phase shift.
I think the article kind of implied that imaging that occured to the lateral sides of the speakers was actually the result of an "error" somewhere in the reproduction chain.
Hi there. This message parallels one I just posted in the "speakers" section. I'm looking for build a new stereo for my soon-to-be-refurbished office-cum-studio (~12x15, eight-foot ceilings). I'm looking for a system that soundstages and images well, and is detailed, dynamic, and transparent. I recognize that there are lots of tradeoffs inherent among those qualities at my price point, but those are the desiderata.
Hi there. I'm currently researching some new equipment for a two-channel system for my soon-to-be-refurbished studio/office. I'm not looking for the moon and stars, but am seeking an improvement over my current, decade-old Definitive BP8s (driven by a Rotel RSX-965 reciever). Two speakers that have caught my attention based on reviews are the Monitor Audio Silver RS6 (which I've heard, and like) and the Revel Concerto F12 (which I have not yet auditioned). Anyone have either and want to comment on your likes/dislikes?
Hi
I have just bought a pair of B&W 805S speakers and need a suitable AV reciever to drive the units. My budget is 1500$ for the reciever. I would like to build a 5.1 home theater system later but these will be my front speakers. Can you suggest a suitable AV receiver/separates which would go well with these speakers. I would also like to know the features that give the best performance out of my set up.
Are there any articles that I need to read to understand a good musical system.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Babu.
I've read many times in magazines about a cd or lp of organ music than goes as low as 16 hz.Quite a few reviewers mention this particular cd or lp but whenever i want to look for it,i forget the name of the work and performer.Anyone knows which one it is ?
