Ohm My God: Turnbull Audio’s Statement-Grade Cables

I had a brief laugh at my own expense at AXPONA—not for another flub during a video shoot but for initially mistaking Turnbull Audio for Devon Turnbull’s Ojas line. The confusion didn’t last, and I was glad to stumble into Turnbull Audio’s second show appearance following its launch at Capital Audiofest 2024.

Designed by Nathan Vander Stoep, Turnbull Audio is the result of a 16-year journey that began with a decade at NVS Sound. Turnbull's power cables are built to minimize internal vibration and use a proprietary “maze” construction intended to reduce electromagnetic interference. Distributed by Audio Thesis, the brand is available through three dealers, Audio-Ultra in Washington state, The Voice That Is in Pennsylvania, and Hi-End Theater and Audio in Texas.

“I was missing music,” Vander Stoep said, explaining what led him to create the Turnbull line. The cables are made with pure copper conductors, Teflon insulation, a proprietary outer layer, and Furutech gold-plated connectors. Each model has a unique geometry. “Even changing the diameter of the cable by 0.01mm made a difference,” Vander Stoep claimed.

A 4' Prestige power cable sells for $18,500, while an 8' speaker cable pair costs $44,000/pair. Two 3' RCA interconnects cost $9250.
