Manufacturer's Comment (from May 2023)

In the highly polarizedworld of high-end audio, there are nearly as many approaches as there are manufacturers. Despite what some may want you to believe, there isn't one approach that is inherently correct; the best approach, rather, depends on what specifically the designer aims to achieve.

At Mojo Audio, we seek to provide the most transparent window possible to the music on the recording as opposed to a measurably more accurate or universally pleasing interpretation. Every circuit, component, and module we use is painstakingly chosen from among the best in the world through a series of blind A/B listening tests in order to select the ones which yield the most harmonically coherent results.

It would be obvious to anyone who reviewed our long history of prestigious awards and raving reviews that our approach to R&D has a high degree of success. A significant percentage of the musicians, reviewers, and music lovers who audition our DACs consider them to either be comparable to ones costing several times as much or simply the best they've heard regardless of price.

However, our signature sound isn't for everyone. Our DACs are certainly considered among the best in the R-2R genre. But we aren't known for being the most resolving, analytical, romantic, or dynamic sounding. Rather, our DACs are known for being extremely easy to listen to, for their organic character, and for allowing the listener to hear every detail of the music without any one aspect drawing attention to itself.

If you are looking for a DAC that conveys the emotional content of the music, has an organic character, and incredible harmonic coherency, then I would recommend taking advantage of our 45-day no-risk audition and comparing one of our DACs to your current reference. Hearing is believing.—Benjamin Zwickel, Owner Mojo Audio
