Best SACD Player (with variable outputs) for $1,500?

I was just over in the amplification forum and came to the conclusion that it's FINALLY time to retire my old dbx DX5 cd player. It has variable outputs, so I've been running it straight into my B&K amp. Ideally, I'd like to replace the dbx with a player than can handle SACD and also has variable outputs. $1,500 is my limit. Any nominees?

LOW END THEORY

Forums

An especially great find, of the many available (legally free download) recordings at Archive.org.

Comprised of three trombones, trumpet, bass trombone, keyboard, bass and drums, these guys know how to kick down some serious low-end brass through their powerful section of in-your-face trombones.

A live CD quality matrix recording from their gig at 12 Galaxies in San Francisco.

A Conga and a Six-Pack

A Conga and a Six-Pack

I just got off the phone with Henry Fiol. Though his singing voice ranges from ethereal to ferocious, his speaking voice is that of the common man&#151a City accent, a casual flow, the blurring of sounds the dropping of syllables a friendly slang. He sounds like a relative, one of my father's cousins. He sounds like family.

Relatively affordable+Good Quality CD Player???

I looked through the four pages of CD Player reviews here and only recognized one name: Radio Shack. An interesting review for an Optimus CD-3400 cd player. I was just wondering if there's a modern equivalent to this cheap, but great sounding player??? I want something to hook up my Grado SR-60's to and chill. The idea of dropping 20k on a CD player makes me laugh. The idea of dropping 2k on a CD player makes me laugh. The idea of dropping a couple hundred ($200-$400) is something I could live with.

That's What I Call a Power Finish

That's What I Call a Power Finish

Here's seven minutes of the most cringe-worthy rock spectacle I've ever seen. The official story for this caca-phony is that the backing tapes were played back at 48kHz sampling rate as opposed to 44.1kHz. (Umm, in pro sound reinforcement, wouldn't it be the other way around?) I think Eddie, who has to be eligible for AARP now, was concentrating so hard on getting those jumps just right, he didn't notice the incredible suckitude of the solo—or, for that matter, the song.

Heroes

Heroes

When Luis Sinco snapped Lance Corporal James Blake Miller's picture, he was photographing a hero. But heroes aren't always what they seem—and they don't always play to type.
