Alpha-Core Micro-Purl & TQ2 interconnect, Python MI2 speaker cable

Everyone loves a bargain. Everyone loves finding an undiscovered gem. But for audiophiles on a budget, finding good, reasonably priced cables isn't a luxury but a necessity. In a $1000 or $2500 system, there simply isn't money for $500 interconnects or $1000 speaker cables. Even a $5000 system—which most of my well-educated, music-loving, affluent friends view as pretty extravagant, by the way—can't accommodate premium cables like the Nirvana</A>, Synergistic Research, or Nordost</A> models that we reviewers rave about as "critical to getting the most out of your system."

I can see the scene now, Gary, the mighty Max, the Big Man, all standing around the studio, looking at their feet, afraid to tell Bruce that one of his new songs, the otherwise very charming, “Outlaw Pete,” has a melody very similiar to the one found in KISS’ “I Was Made For Lovin’ You Baby,” their successful quasi-disco single off their otherwise weak 1979 stylistic stumble, Dynasty.

Cable maybee

Hi I am having an issue with my audio cutting out quickly when I turn lights on or off. Most specifically when I adjust the electric heating that may cable runs by.
I am using a SB audigy 2 card to send audio via the digital out on the card to my pionerr vsx33.the run is about 20 ft.
I tried to connect this with my sub cable which is a directional monster cable but it would not work. I am now looking a buying a new cable as I am thinking that may be the issue?
Any help? what kind of cable should I be using?

Measurement vs hearing

I see all these tweak threads. They always lead into a measurement vs hearing debate. Has anyone ever proven they can hear something that can't be measured. If someone can prove they can hear something that can't be measured it would go a long way toward justifying some things can't be measured. I mean with all the different tweaks, cables, Ic's,treatments etc that people claim make huge differences, Has anyone ever proven they can hear what can't be measured. Thousands of threads on the internet about this stuff but I have never seen just one person prove it.

Software and Computer Audio confusion

So I've heard many people talk about iTunes not being a good music player, and using better one.
What is it about iTunes that makes it fall short in the music playing category?
What are the other (better) music players out there (for an apple OSX 10.5 computer).

Also when ripping CD's onto the computer what is the best way of doing it? I've heard iTunes is not good here too? What is recommended for ripping? What makes them better?
