Hybrid or not too Hybrid?

I'm building a new system and just got some Infinity Beta 50s. I'm looking to stick to a certain budget but I'm willing to have a some wiggle room in order to get something a little better. Which is why I was wondering, if the difference in the P1 and P2 justified me spending the extra money.

Also, a side question, what would be the best way to connect my video stuff to my speakers, if I wanted to.

Hello, I am a newbie posting on this forum and I have a quick question. In the Stereophile Buyers Guide under the section for integrated amplifiers, there are two options listed which to me sound like they

I am confused to read the following in a review of the Toshiba DVD HD-XA2 I was considering purchasing.....

"The HD-XA2 takes a slightly different tack. Instead of transcoding to DTS, it converts the signal to Dolby Digital 5.1 at that format's maximum bit rate of 640 kb/s. This is arguably inferior to the DTS method (Dolby advocates would disagree), but ensures greater backwards compatibility.

Does anyone have any songs they can recommend for sound demos? Preferably upbeat, maybe blues, I have sheffield labs now and I really like number 7.
