At first I thought you were kidding.
What are the absorption specs for this little guy?
(Sorry Stephen. I forgot that we are not supposed to directly respond to product announcements.)
RealTraps has announced a new line of "spouse-friendly" acoustic treatment products that will blend nicely into any room. Our new Planter Bass Trap is shown below, and this press release describes all three products in detail:

I am a recent graduate who just purchased a house, so I'm trying to cut back on spending. I couldn't pass up, however, a Panasonic SA-HE75 that I found for $75.
Of course, now I have to buy speakers for it. Can anyone recommend a good set that can be had for under $300? The unit has room for two mains, two surrounds, a center, and a subwoofer, so I'd like to fill as many of those slots as possible. Am I just dreaming?
Thank you all for your feedback!
While I don't think this belongs in the jazz forum, I don't think it belongs in the classical one either. Anyway, my brother sent me this video last night of Paco De Lucia. I've loved and listened to Paco for years and have seen him perform a few times, but he seemed jaded and uninspired. Like he was putting on a show without any regards to the music, just to fill in his legend status.
I saw that mofi was re-issuing Metallica albums, and just got the Master of Puppets special edition in the mail. I'm at work, so I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it. What is already frustrating is that the inner sleeves were already split slightly (as occurs when someone drops a record into a sleeve), and there are very light scuff marks.
I can only see the scuffs under the appropriate light, and I doubt it'll affect the sound, but I'm contemplating getting another copy. Really a bummer. Brand new, sealed record.
