Want sub-forum for buying / selling used gear (marketplace)

Why isn't there a sub-forum here via which one can buy/sell used gear? Is there a discussion thread/post on this issue? Most of the other forums I post on (diyaudio.com, head-fi.org, etc.) all, in fact, have marketplace sub-forums, so I'm a bit surprised Stereophile.com does not.
Is it too late (or too "inappropriate") to vote for the creation of such a sub forum?

August issue unprintable *again*

Stephen, I complained about the July issue not printable last month and you responded that it was a "technical problem" and will be fixed.

I never received a "fixed" version of the July issue.

Worst yet is the august issue is also un-printable.

Please kindly rectify, your magazine is not very usable as it is.

BTW, when HFN first started with Zinio, they also had the same problem. What they actually did was sent me 2 printed issues all the way from the UK, and extended my subscription for free.

Beat The Heat With This Cool Mist Fan!!

Ultra-Portable For On-The-Go!!

Someone Finally Invented The Perfect Portable Fan!!

We've all been there - feeling hot and sticky - the air is super humid and stagnant. Yuck! You're out doing yard work, shopping, running errands, watching a baseball game and you start to get that "I'm hot, and I don't feel so good" feeling?

What if there was a quick and easy way to get that air circulating and get a cool mist at the same time?

Out of US teachers

It appears that with over 300,000 U.S. teachers out of work that we have a new, novel approach to education.

Two school districts near to me have now imported math teachers from out of the US to fill positions in math departments in Dekalb County(65) here in GA and in another county in south Alabama. It is being reported that many speak such broken English that many expect problems in the class room in the first quarter of the school year.

Thank You

As I've written at boring length here before, I don't especially enjoy caring about sound. It's more compulsion than anything else.

But I got some grace tonight, and I want to thank the folks at Stereophile for that. I'm listening with a big smile on my face to a very nice used set of PSB Image B25s I bought, and while I know there are better speakers, I got a little piece of how music is supposed to sound. That's enough for me.

Kudos to Mr. Baird...

for continuing in the "write about amazing indie/rock bands" tradition. Keep up the good work! Don't need anymore classical bullshit or wanker jazz or that awful amalgam of elevator music, reggae, and schlager that audiophiles cling to...

Keep the rock and roll in Stereophile....theres a lot of people interested in fidelity outside of the tight assed classical/jazz ultrafidelistas!

rear ported speakers near a wall

Forums

Hi all, I am considering purchasing a pair of Sonus faber Liuto towers. They are a rear ported speaker and come highly rated. My problem is that I can only position them so that the back of the speaker is only about one foot from the wall behind it. I have no other options. Any thoughts on this? Input appreciated. Thanks.

Beatle mp3s

I have been cleaning up my iPod Beatles sections after getting the usb Beatle set (Git one!) and the mono box set (mine was counterfit but sounded fine.) I also have home ripped mp3s from cd quality or better rips of the Japanese and British pressings. I have been listening to the various overlapping copies and trying to keep only the best stereo and mono versions.

I use the word versions because sometimes, that is what I have, different mixes of the same song! Some of this I knew. There are some interesting variations of the German pressing of Magical Mystery Tour.
