I joined English magazine Hi-Fi News & Record Review in September 1976 as its equivalent of Stereophile's Stephen Mejias and was its editor from October 1982 through the end of April 1986. I have a soft spot for my alma mater, so it was with some relief that I heard Monday November 1 that it had been bought by a small hobbyist publisher: http://www.myhobbystore.com/ .
Sen. Mitch McConnell:
His party's main goal is denying Obama re-election.
Yeah, that's some class.
"Governing? Shit, no! We just want the power."
Straight outta "Scarface."
"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women...or men, as the case may be, since we are Republicans."

I received a phone call yesterday about coming out this Sunday afternoon and recording this wonderful group of musicians. I am very excited about this experience and will give me more opporltunities to refine my recording craft...such that it is.
I am becoming more convinced that I am moving to a DECCA TREE recording arrangement for both the University of West Georgia Wind Ensemble that will be playing at Axpona in April I am happy to say and for Tara Winds. As always the masters in 2496.

So I get Entertainment Weekly at my house, mainly so i can stay afoot on what's going on in the world of entertainment whithout having to waste too much of my time seeing bad movies and watching crappy TV shows. They also keep the celebrity gossip to a minimum so I don't feel too guilty about getting this magazine every week.
