Storgaard & Vestskov Speakers: Danish and Delicious

Danish loudspeaker maker Storgaard & Vestskov, a relatively young company, operates from Bornholm, a small island in the Baltic Sea. Their 150,000ft² production hub handles everything in-house: R&D, milling, varnishing, and final assembly.

S&V engineer Jens Posselt, a veteran of the Danish audio scene with more than 40 years' experience, now works alongside CEO and designer Casper Vestskov Poulsen and co-founder Kim Storgaard, the company's VP of sales.

Despite its short history, S&V offers multiple loudspeaker models, including those shown in Munich: the Frida ($17,000/pair, prices approximate when converted from other currencies), Gro ($24,700/pair), and the flagship Fenja ($63,000/pair).

The Frida is a two-way standmount with 87dB sensitivity and a nominal impedance of 4–8 ohms. It features a 38mm ring-radiator tweeter paired with a custom 5" woven mineral-cone woofer, and a 12dB Linkwitz-Riley crossover with TIM-reduction circuits.

The Gro is a two-way floorstander with 90dB sensitivity and 4–8 ohm impedance. Like the Frida, it uses a 38mm ring-radiator tweeter, here paired with two 5" woven mineral-cone woofers and the same crossover design.

The three-way Fenja, S&V's flagship, offers 91dB sensitivity at 4 ohms. Its driver array includes two 38mm ring-radiator tweeters, a 5" midrange, and four custom 7" woofers.

The system included an Eversolo streamer, a one-off preamplifier, mono power amps, and an Ediscreation OCXO II network switch (about $1900).
