Innovo Audio Designs’ Luxe T1 active speakers shine with McIntosh, Aurender, and AudioQuest

Florida-based Innovo Audio Designs makes active loudspeakers. Their stylish and unique Luxe T1 speaker, shown at CAF, instantly grabbed my attention. The speaker's small footprint, slim design, and side-mounted bass drivers were something new.

The Luxe T1 is 6" deep, 13" wide, and 51" high. Its three-way active design includes a tweeter and midrange with four small elliptical bass drivers stationed on both sides. The speaker is tri-amplified and uses DSP and an active crossover. The speaker's lovely cabinet is handmade in standard or custom wood finishes. Prices begin at $27,000/pair.

Innovo CEO Yair Raz's system at CAF consisted of a McIntosh MDA200 DAC ($5000), an Aurender N150 streamer ($3850), and a beautifully finished pair of Luxe T1s.

AudioQuest provided cabling including NRG-X3 power cables, 3m (for Luxe T1 speakers, $119.95/ea.), a Red River XLR cable ($339.95/2m), a Blueberry 18 HDMI cable ($39.99/1.4m), an SKW Audiophiles USB 2.0 DAC Audio Cable ($34/1m), and an AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 AC power conditioner ($699.95).

Lady Gaga's "Always Remember Us This Way" played through the system with hi-rez beauty, all glistening production and ripe bass. Paul Simon's "Diamonds on the Sole of Her Shoes" was similarly rich, full-sounding, and immediate.
