Ken says: At High End Munich, IsoAcoustics introduced its new GAIA Neo and GAIA-TITAN Neo series of isolation feet. Designed for both consumer and OEM use, the Neo models improve on the established GAIA line with updated engineering. The first custom versions will be integrated into the new JBL Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori, and Summit Ama speakers, as well as the Marten Coltrane Extreme loudspeakers—all of which debuted at the show.
IsoAcoustics founder and CEO Dave Morrison, along with his son Sean, were on hand to answer questions and demo the new technology. Their Munich demo system included an Antipodes K50 Music Server, an Audia Flight FLS10 integrated amplifier, and Marten Parker Trio Diamond Edition loudspeakers.
Following a tiered structure similar to other IsoAcoustics product lines, the GAIA Neo and GAIA-TITAN Neo models are available in three sizes, each rated for different weight capacities to suit a range of speakers and components. The Neo line improves on the original GAIA design with a new isolator and several upgrades, including seamless height adjustment, easier installation, and more refined aesthetics.
Dave Morrison presented a fascinating demo of the new isolation footers in a system that included two identical pairs of Marten Parker Trio Diamond Edition loudspeakers. Only one pair was outfitted with the new GAIA Neo footers. The difference was not subtle.
Jason adds: Dave Morrison told me that the Neo and TITAN Neo series were "principally designed for speakers" but work equally well with other components. Because of their unique internal geometry, it's essential to install them—and all IsoAcoustics footers—with the logo facing forward. IsoAcoustics is currently collaborating with 80 manufacturers who have adopted—or plan to adopt—its footers. Innuos has added the GAIA Neo isolators to its new flagship music server, the Nazaré.
The height of the new footers can be adjusted within an 8mm range for leveling. Carpet discs are included, but IsoAcoustics also offers sliders. The products are expected to ship in August or September, with prices to be announced.
