Don't Do It Alone

I don't know how this works — I'm guessing it's just some sort of the usual, run-of-the-mill collective (un)conscious pinging internet magic — but if you take a look at the bottom of any one of the pages on the Stereophile website, you'll find a list of "Sponsored Links," seemingly appropriate to the page itself.

For instance, at the bottom of our home page, you'll find links to sites concerned with things like power amps, SACDs, and turntables. If you scroll down to the bottom of Wes' blog, you might find links to pages concerned with headphones, as well as more amplifiers, more turntables. If you take a look at the links listed at the bottom of Kal Rubinson's "Music in the Round" archive, you'll notice that they're — duh — related to multi-channel listening. And so on, and so forth. It doesn't get too crazy; go to any one of the Stereophile pages, and you'll find links to other sites that are concerned with audio.

I think this is pretty neat. It makes fine sense. Cool beans.

Funny thing, though:
If you go to the bottom of my blog — this page, right here — and take a look at the "Sponsored Links," here's what you might find:

And my absolute favorite:

What do I say about this? How do I translate into words the bliss and pride I feel for having attracted such wondrous linkage? I'm tempted to make no comment at all. I'm not sure what I did to deserve this tremendous vote of confidence and love, but I think I must be doing something right.

I do want to add, however, that if you're out there, and you've somehow made your way to my blog in an attempt to get inside your boyfriend's mind, or if you're single and looking for love, or if you want to improve upon your already delightful and satisfying relationship, please, go no further. You've come to the right place.

You are home, my friends. Home.

On the other hand, if you need help dealing with your psychological difficulties, you should probably follow the link at the bottom of this page. I contacted them earlier, myself.

And, yes, I agree: You really shouldn't do it alone.
