This is my first post here and I thought I would ask some help of the forum members and Stereophile staff.

I am interested in getting the Beatles collection on CD. However, I know there have been good versions and bad versions of the originals put on CD. I thought I would see if I could get a list of the Beatles titles that you have found to be of the highesst quality (and which titles to avoid).

If you would be willing to list the title, date published, publisher, etc. of the CDs you find to have 'done it right' so to speak, I would greatly appreciate it.

Over on Audio Asylum a member posted about, the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY! I have to agree with his opinion that the continued exploration of items outside of the mainstream such as the Hartley drivers was wonderful.

In fact I'd like to propose a review of the Hartley 24" "Super-Woofer" as a sub competing against some of todays more modern subs. The Hartley (to the best of my knowledge) hasn't changed much since it was featured in Leveinsons HQD system so many years ago and perhaps not much since the mid 50's.

Atoll CD100/Cary CD303/Copland CDA266, which suits best the Krell 400xi/Dynaudio 52SE combo?
