Hello Everyone, Nice place you have here, this is my first post. I started reading Stereophile when Stereo Review changed to Sound and Vision.
I have around 500 LPs but never play them. Whenever I play my turntable even at low levels the drivers on my floorstanding Proac speakers move in and out violently. This can't be good for them. This does not happen at all with the cd player even at loud levels.
When people ask me if I miss it, I'm quick to make a face. My left eye might scrunch up tight, while the right shoots out like a feathered arrow, raising its brow like an exclamation mark. My nose and lips tighten, become wrinkled. Everything about this face expresses some sort of pain, maybe even disgust. Like I've been slapped, like I've just downed a mouthful of sour milk. Do I miss it? Are you out of your mind? What is there to miss: Late nights?; Heavy gear?; Bad crowds?; No crowd?
Gradient has produced a small quantity of SW-63 dipole subwoofer. Dimensions and shape are identical with the original one. SW-63 is available either with black or brown cloth. However there are some technical improvements, new woofers are equipped with very durable rubber surrounds.
I stumbled across a Dual 701 turntable. It is in amazing condition. I am looking for a good resource to list and sell this beauty. Any suggestions? This thing is perfetct in box with perfect manual and all shipping materials.
Thanks for any info possible, Billie D (585)319-6335
