I'm wondering what the best way to compare cartridges given my available options. I would like to see the differences between my at-oc9ml/II and a soon to arrive clearaudio concerto. The Concerto should win hands down but I would like to do a test. I have a digital recorder with cf memory card. Should I record several songs to the recorder with the at and then the same songs with the concerto and then compare?

Hi, I purchased a HK 3480 stereo receiver recently, based on the Stereophile forum recommendation, and I am pleased.

Perhaps it is a coincidence, or maybe the change in seasons, but recently I am having trouble picking up my favorite (low power) radio station (that would be WFMU, for those in the NY/NJ area).

When I lose reception, I get a horrible screeching tone (I don't know what note it is offhand, LOL, but it is a single tone and quite abrasive). Needless to say, this absolutely ruins the listening experience.

Hi. KEF has their kubes speaker equaliser that work with their specific speakers to enhance bass performance. I have the Kube 104/2 that goes along with the 104/2 reference speaker. Anybody knows where I can get/view the user manual, cos I'm not quite sure how to connect. Or, anybody knows how to connect and use the Kube? Thanks.

Scotland's Dunedin Consort's recreation of the 1742 premiere performance of Messiah in Dublin is wonderful fun. The performances are transparent, crisp light and energetic; the sound, clean and natural (Hybrid SACD).

There are many fewer performers than one normally hears, both in the choir and orchestra. I greatly prefer this.
