Sugar Man

Sugar Man

Cold Fact, the recently unearthed 1960's psychedelic folk album from obscure Detroit songwriter, Sixto Rodriguez, has been pretty much everywhere these days. Last week, in fact, I walked by John Atkinson's office to hear him blasting the outstanding opening track, "Sugar Man."

The vinyl is packed with a bonus 45, excellent liner notes, and a very cool poster. My only problem is I can't decide whether to hang the poster on my wall or keep it tucked nicely with the vinyl.

How about we invent some room treatments.

Hola,

While I wait for Ethan to produce the corner base trap with attractive finish and mood light in the top, I've been thinking of what else we could come up with to really raise the bar with regard to sonic benefit and SAF (formerly WAF, but now 'spouse' in lieu of 'wife.')

I just rented a halftime place for work and have rooms with no furniture and sheet rock walls - very "live," to say the least.

So, I'm looking at this place and thinking "room treatments."

My wife says, "You mean like rafia and wall paper?"

inherited gear that needs repair and could use some upgrades

my father recently bequeathed me a relatively new musical fidelity integrated amp and a pair of late 1970's/early 80's ProAc bookshelf speakers, one of which has a blown mid-range driver. how much is a repair going to cost me? should i replace the mid-range drivers in both speakers for balance?
