Should be required reading for any recording engineer...or any digital audio enthusiast for that matter.

For decades jazz cognoscenti have talked reverently of the Savory
Collection. Recorded from radio broadcasts in the late 1930s by an
audio engineer named William Savory, it was known to include extended
live performances by some of the most honored names in jazz but only
a handful of people had ever heard even the smallest fraction of that
music, adding to its mystique.
A few times over the past couple of days, when attempting to view the forum, I get a whole page of stuff like this:
"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'simcmmgdb2' (2) in /usr/local/webroot/stereophile/forum/mysql.inc.php on line 36"
It happens with IE or Firefox, and soon it's back to normal. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I thought Stephen and John might like to know about it, so I'm posting.
What do you think the color to color variability is in the sound?
We also don't hear much about which veneers sound best on any given speaker.
Walnut? Cherry? Maple?
I'm sure they all have sonic differences, no?
(I mean, if someone can tell the best arrangement of screw tightening pattern for the lid of an amplifier, something as vast as veneer characteristics should have easily differentiated sonics.)
Micheal McDonald covers Grizzly Bear.
Awesome man, just awesome.

(this song is from the album Veckatimest, one of the best albums of the decade)
Get it , Keld.
