As John Atkinson recently disclosed, we'll be reviewing Ayre's ruggedly handsome monoblock, the MX-R, in our April 2007 issue. Wes Phillips was first introduced to the amp at last year's CES, and has been enjoying some time with the MX-R in his own listening room. I'm looking forward to getting a closer look and listen to the little guys this January.
As a little bit of a teaser, Ayre's Steve Silberman and Brent Hefley allowed me to steal a look into the machine shop.
