Angie Lisi of American Sound of Canada always presents desirable components—CAF2024 was no exception. This year, Lisi launched the North American debut of German-made Perpetuum Ebner turntables, the new Phasemation SA1500 integrated amp, new Avantgarde Colibri Series speakers and subwoofer, new Avantgarde Zero Itron speakers, and her exclusive line of Italian Synthesis Art in Music tube amplification.
In room 641, an Aurender N30 Streamer ($23,000) was paired with a tubed Synthesis Roma 117DC preamplifier ($5695) into Synthesis Roma 98DC SE tubed monoblocks ($9800/pair), driving Avantgarde Colibri speakers ($8000/pair) with stands ($890/pair), and a Colibri 18” subwoofer ($5490/each, stand/$590). Kimber Select interconnects and Transparent speaker cables, which cost approximately $5,000 each, connected the system.
In room 645, an Aurender N30 Streamer ($23,000) guided the signal to a new 300B-powered Phasemation SA-1500 integrated amplifier, which drove the new, fully active Avantgarde Zero iTron speakers in white ($26,000/pair). Speaker cables by Transparent ($5500/pair).
Also in Lisi’s rooms, the new Perpetuum Ebner PE 4040 turntable (€4.225,00–€4.975,00), mounted with an Ortofon MC Quintet Black S cartridge ($6300). Additionally in the room, 9”, 10”, and 12” Japanese-made Glanz tonearms (from $3900). A Phasemation EA-550 phono stage ($9000) and a Grimm Audio MU2 DAC/streamer ($20,000) completed source duties. A KT 88-powered Synthesis Action Series A50 Taurus integrated amplifier ($10,000) drove Rethm Trishna Model Speakers ($12,000/pair).
