Seeking opinions on amplififation for Paradigm Monitor 7

Forums

Hi all, I used to really be into hi-fi, then got married, had kids, and life took over. I am slowly trying to rebuild a system that will satify my music only desire. I have Paradigm Monitor 7s in front which I use with a CC=370 and a Yamaha receiver for video. For the past few years this has also been my audio setup.
I am searching for a great, reasonable amp and preamp combo or an integrated to use for audio.

left or right speakers?

Forums

you are facing your audio system. Speaker on your right hand side is called "R speaker" and speaker on your left hand side is called "L speaker". Am i right?

And the "R speaker" should connect to the point at your amplifier which indicates "+R-".

am i right?

If i'm right, then B&W audio enginner connected "+L-" to right speaker and "+R-" to left speaker at my hi-fi

should I kill myself or the B&W staff?

My car stereo was actually trying to tell me something...

Aloha,

I ain't much for car audio, but my POS '99 Intrepid with the "Infinity" sound system can really take hold of a rare CD and image the heck out of it.

Moonlight Mile on the House of Blues "Paint It Blue" CD is amazing.

The damn car also does a killer rendition of Moondance and rules the road with Nick Drake vocals...go figure!

Anyway, I was supposed to drive from Vegas to Reno (439 miles) Friday night to try and manage some maternal health issues, but I got turned around by snow just under half way, so I tried again Saturday morning.

Energy Reference Connoisseur line

I've been looking into a speaker purchase; the rest of the system is all up to the level I want it to be. There are some Klipsch speakers that I like and a nice pair of Totems that are a bit more than I wanted to spend. The guy at my favorite stereo place is making my listen a lot to Energy's RC series. I must say that sound-wise, they are very impressive - at least on par with anything else I've listened to. And they look infinitely better, the veneers are beautiful. The wife would like them for that reason alone.

Do you have any hopes that the new Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats will use their high-resolution audio capability?

While SACD and DVD-A seem pretty much format roadkill, do you have any hopes that the new Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats will use their high-resolution audio capability?

Oh Boy—The Audio Broadcast Flag Licensing Act of 2006

No, you aren't reading an old newsdesk article that has inadvertently been published a second (or third) time. On March 2, congressional representative Mike Ferguson (R-NJ) introduced House Resolution 4861, "the audio broadcast licensing act of 2006." Ferguson's co-sponsors were Edolphus Towns (D-NY), Mary Bono (R-CA), Bart Gordon (D-TN), and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
