I just recently bought a copy of Salling Clicker software to run on a little PDA. It controls iTunes wirelessly, either through bluetooth or a wireless network. It is fast, easy, and the modest investment (software $25, PDA 200+) has made the biggest improvement in my computer based system I have experienced.

Well, it's only a CD 'cause I'm sitting at the computer, but I've kind of neglected David Bowie's Earthling for too long.

Lots of sonic detail, but a pitiful dynamic range - it's all "house mixed" up, but great tunes and lots going on.

It's better than Lortab!

I'm gonna go over to Gemm and buy it on vinyl.

I think I'll go pull out some Diamond Dogs or Ziggy Stardust after this.

I have an old turntable that my Father gave me, a BSR 810 Transcription. When my Dad got it 30 years ago, it was supposedly a pretty nice machine, and I spent many an afternoon after school jamming to records playing on this machine. It has a heavy, machined platter and what looks to be a pretty decent tonearm with adjustments for stylus pressure and VTA.

Why not make it a requirement that in order to post you must register. Most if not all other sites have this requirement.

Based on the auditions that I made and the reviews that I read, it seems that a digital player with a tube output stage is increasing its soundstage and solidifying its sonic image, aside from adding the air and smoothness signatures characteristic to the vacuum tubes.
