Ok OK so here is my nominees for the Top Ten Rock(?) discs of the year.
The Hold Steady-"Boys and Girls in America" (Damn, Deep Purple meets Thin Lizzy and Van Morrison with a library card)

Joanna Newsom-"Ys"( A poetic and orchestral masterpiece)

Tom Waits-"Orphans"(I'm still digesting this enormous work)

Destroyer-"Destroyer's Rubies"

Various Artists-"Tropicalia"

TV on the Radio- "Return to Cookie Mountain"

Tapes N Tapes-"The Loon"

Ok guys heres the deal. This might not be a source problem.

Over the past 10 yrs my dad has collected various cds (mostly international). I recently bought a B&W 804 and paired it up with a Portal Panache integrated amp and Transparent Audio Musicwave cables. My source is a 5 yr old $50 panasonic dvd player.

I know this has been covered many times but I feel there are so many in this category, you can never have enough!
I recently purchased a used Portal Audio Panache for my N804's for under $1000 and it has been nothing short of a masterpiece. I honestly think this is the best int-amp under $1500.

There is also the Musical Fidelity A300 and A3.2 along the same class.

For some strange reason, I'm picking up a faint radio station signal in my rear channel surround sound speakers (Focal JM Lab). Does anybody have any clue what could be happening? Would a certain type of speaker cable help? This happens, by the way, when I'm watching T.V. or watching a movie.

I know they just recently came to the market but has anyone heard the new CM7s?
