MF more of teh same

Again he has fabulous TT's ...he thinks at $24,000 it will be a hard sell!!!! At $100K...it's just what? and of course, his mention of teh continuum, in a fleeting glance, "interesting" said nothing. Maybe his overpriced $24K unit sounded like his OK priced TT? at $100K, or did he find he didn't hear any differences, and started to weep over his just cleaned LP's.............And if he takes up the request by Randi, he could pay off the "in hock" for that $100K TT...which he described as going into in a previous edition.

The most gen

Forums

I recall teh Roman young generation, spurred on by lust, greed, vomitoriums, orgies, and basic party fun. They threw people to the lions for fun. They had Fidelisus Maximus units playing Lute music at ear deafening levels in the Roman bath section in the San Francisco section of Rome. THAT was the most depraved, spoiled gen known to man...and men who acted like woman.

Disney, Microsoft, Others Take a Copyright Stance

A consortium of media and Internet companies announced a set of guidelines to protect copyrights online on October 19. Among the group, which has been negotiating for nine months, were Walt Disney Co.; Microsoft; NBC Universal; Viacom, Inc.; CBS Corp.; News Corp.'s MySpace and Fox constituents; Veoh Networks, Inc.; and Dailymotion S.A. Noticeable for its absence was Google, including YouTube, which has recently been sued for $1 billion for infringement by Viacom.

Advice - Old Carver and Infinity System Needs Rework

12 Years ago I purchase a complete Carver and Infinity System for about $6000 and have done little with it since. It is in great condition but I am now in a financial position to start thinking about upgrades and I need help.

The Pre-Amp is a Carver Pro-Logic Pre-Amp

The Primary Amp is a Carver AV-405 5 channel cinema amp with 2 100W Channels, 1 110W Channel and 2 50W Channels.

The secondary amp is a Carver CT 115 stereo 100W amp.

An Anti-Audiophile?

An Anti-Audiophile?

I was visited yesterday by Steve Krampf, CEO of Chestnut Hill Sound and designer of the George sound system. As we walked from our 6th floor lobby down the long hall to my office, the conversation somehow turned to various loudspeaker drivers. (That's just something that happens when you're in our office.)

Common question -- Next upgrade advice

I am a frequent reader of these forums, and while I know this question is asked often, I thought I would nonetheless seek everyone's expert advice.

My current system:

Integrated Amp -- NAD 320BEE
CD player -- Arcam CD72
Bookshelf speakers -- Wharfedale Pacific Evo 8
Speaker cables -- Audio Art SC-5 biwires
Interconnects -- Audio Art IC-3
Power supply -- PS Audio Duet

So....

(1) The Arcam CD72 is new and I love it
(2) The interconnects and speaker cables are great -- highly recommended
