Record Cleaning Liquids - Which one to use?

Hi Folks,

I have recently purchased a Nitty Gritty 1.5FI. I have been using the Pure2 solution they sell at Nitty but I'm wondering what the opinions are with respect to possible "home made" solutions or products from other companies.

I think I remember MF doing a review of liquids not too long ago... What issue was it? Also, if MF is trolling this forum (and I'm sure he is ) I'd be happy to get his concise view.

Thanks folks and good sounds to you all.

Regards,

Jeff

Creek Classic amp + Evo cdp, weird?

Currently I'm using NAD amp + cdp and Epos M5 and going to upgrade the amp + cdp.

I have audited both Creek's Evo and Classic combo (amp + cdp), The Classic combo definitely sounds better than Evo (in imaging, sound stage, clarity, bass, etc). But the Classic cdp was a little bit too laid-back or soft to my taste (when listen to hard rock).

So, would it be weird to get the Classic amp + Evo cdp? Consider Classic amp costs double than the Evo cdp.

PSB Alpha 1's vs. Monitor Audio BR1

While visiting my local audio merchant, I was told in no uncertain terms that the Monitor Audio BR1's are better speakers than the PSB Alpha 1's. In fact, he feels so strongly about it, he does not carry PSB product because he feels it is inferior to Monitor Audio's line.

Is this true? I can't seem to locate much in the way for review for the BR1's

Can anyone compare the PSB Alpha 1's vs. Monitor Audio BR1?

Thanks!

Destroyed by fire!

Hello,

My A/V Gear was destroyed in a house fire. I managed to get my wife and twin 6 year old sons out of harms way and then put out the blaze. I injured myself in the process from burns to both forearms and compressed lumbar spinal vertabrae.

Further, I have been disabled since 1994 due to back/spinal problems and literally am unable to sit in a sweet spot for extended listening at home. I usually move around the room quite a bit, lay down on floor, lay down on sofa, lean against walls or stand depending on my back pain.
