I have a query regarding two musical fidelity amp set-ups and I would greatly appreciate your opinions. I am trying to decide which amp to buy at the moment. I already have the Musical Fidelity X-A1 amp and am thinking to add two monobloc X-A50's to bi-amp a set of Mission Freedoms, or alternatively I just ditch the X-A1 and buy a Musical Fidelity A3.2 or A3.5.
This is really teh only analog taht is of any merit, large tape machines. When it gets down converted onto an LP, it's like todays, down converting to MP3 from a nice DIGITAL master . THIS is ANALOG at it's best, but then this being teh 21st century, things have shrunk, more efficient, better features, cheaper......even FIRE production is now more controlled and useable over what teh caveman used and had...we don't cook on rocks anymore, only the nostaglia buffs do that stuff.
Is one of the claimed "benefits"...hmmm, so I could power my entire house from this...how does it have " unrestirceted" power delivery. I guess they have outdone super condutors, physics etc. Cus' last time I've read a wire chart, certain guage wires are rated at certain "ampacitys" at certain temperature ratings. Once again, this is nonsense, audio BS, who buysinto this crap? $800 for an AC line crod? Is it even UL listed, ETL? A $3 extenstion cord is at least. Unrestricted, did they TEST it to do that? Cus' they better patent an un restricted cable, cus' no one has that!!!
