I've been having too many issues with my otherwise great sounding Bellari tube phono pre. While it was a huge improvement over my integrated phono pre, I just cannot get rid of some humming issues (probably as much the fault of where I live and my setup). Then there is some distortion that Bellari swears must be from my other gear (I'll explain below in a footnote for those interested).
Please compare and contrast the death of Mr. Cole with Peanut Corp. of America killing several people. I've used AP wire stories for your source.

I know they are built to last, retain their value, and have cool blue meters, but I don't know much about their sonic qualities. They don't appear in many discussions, either.
What 5 adjectives would you use to describe the sound qualities of McIntosh amps?
Do 21st century McIntosh amps sound better than 20th century
McIntosh amps?
(First-hand experience only, please.)
Thanks!
Found a new word on another audio forum. I'm sure it will come in handy. ShakeyBacon only made up a lousy 7800. We're audiophiles, dammit, I'm sure we can beat that piddly total! Damn, we's good. Special, we is. Baskin' wit our shades on - in the sunshine shinin' out of our own asses.
Here's the new word:
snoboxious
Awesome, eh?
