I've always thought that my Dual 505-2 was a pretty good sounding turntable, but when necessity forced me to change the interconnects,(crazy cat chewed the insulation) I did so with high quality shielded cables and the sonic improvement was remarkable. Not only was the definition and sound stage more prominent, electronic induced background noise is exceptionally quiet. Made me a believer in better cables.

I am a newbie and wanted to buy my FIRST entry level system for a 10 x 16ft room. So far I have purchased the following:
NAD C355BEE Stereo Integrated Amplifier (new)
Paradigm Studio 20v 4 bookshelf speakers (used)
I have auditioned for a few CD players, and cannot make up my mind. I hope to get some comments from you. My emphasis is on vocal part, and like clean sound.

I've been investigating Blu-Ray as a vehicle for 24/192 stereo audio and so far, all the machines I've found only allow a max of 24/96 from their coax digital outputs.
