Bose 301

Hi all, first post here. I've been looking for a set of speakers to warm up a kitchen/dining room that is about 12x25'. I was thinking something along the lines of a set of Bose 301's, but after looking online I see that they've fallen out of favor. I just liked the price point and the sound quality so far as I can remember the set we had when I was a kid. What else is out there in the marketplace along those lines and at/around/less-than that price point? Of course I want the best possible quality for the price.

Centrod Tonearm vs TriPlanar

Great article on the spiral groove table !!

I own a Triplanar and Lyra skala, using a Grand Prix Monaco table. So your article really hit home for me. I am extremely curious on more info on the Centroid arm, I know these are new, but given your final comment "it's not leaving my home" I take it that it's a killer arm.

When do you plan your formal review and/or can you post more comments here or send me a private note?

Thanks in advance

Anyone heard the dCS Debussy dac?

I currently have an Esoteric X-03se, but am looking to replace it with a DAC and computer source. I have a small "silent PC" with a Lynx card, and was orignally planning to connect it to an Esoteric D-07 (or possibly D-05) DAC via XLR connectors, externally clocking the Lynx card from a master clock. However, I've recently read about the new dCS Debussy dac, which looks interesting. Has anyone had the opportunity of auditioning one?

Thanks,
Daniel
