I've had a Cayin A50T amp for over 3 years, with on and off periods of listening (I travel a lot for work), and am curious about a few things:
1. Do tubes degrade over time, or simply fail at some point? Essentially, how do I know when to replace them? What are typical intervals for changing tubes? I cannot tell if the quality has degraded a bit, or if I have become accustomed to the sound. I do bias them.
We have banned Jan Vigne from the forum.
I have tried, John Atkinson has tried, Ariel Bitran has tried, and members of the forum have tried to assist Jan Vigne in becoming a valuable, productive, sociable member of our community, but Jan simply could not function within the group.
Jan's contributions turned regularly to hostility. Jan's contributions worked to derail threads so that his behavior and personality became the focus of discussion. And, ultimately, we felt Jan's behavior dissuaded others from participating and prevented new members from joining.
Hi,
I'am new to this community.
This is my first post so please be patient.
I'am after a extremely transparent and detailed 2-channel amp.
This amp will not be used to drive speakers but used to drive my ortho-dynamic headphones using the speaker -out terminals.
I need a cheap, someting even vintage will work, but has to be audiophile quality.
I don't care what it looks like.I wouldn't want to spend more then $200.00 ,therfore I presumea secondhand one would suit me .
I could get a little expensive one if it is nice.
