Slow turntable

I just aquired a Technics SL1350 Direct drive turntable. It turns to slow probably about 25% to slow. I Turned the speed adjustment under the table. No change. I took of f the bearing cleaned and oiled, with no change. The unit looks almost new and would like tp save it. Has anyone had a problem like this with a direct drive unit? Guess I'm looking to find out if there is an easy fix. And if you had one fixec, was it expensive.

The thing I like about lists like this—and the enthusiasts like me who devour them—is the way they serve as starting points for debate. Fer instance, I think Unforgiven is overrated, although I have a soft spot for Pale Rider, which most critics seem to feel was second-rate Eastwood.

Sony "SE" series

Forums

My main system amplifier/receiver is a Sony STR-SE501.

I've done some research, and it seems there were only two models above it during the "SE" days, the SE581 and SE591. Both have phono inputs, while my SE501 does not.

Currently, everything Sony has is their new "DE" series, along with their "CE" line of CD players.
