I would like some input from some people on the benefits of higher end cd players.

Now compared to most people on the forum my kit is budget for sure. I currently am using a marantz sr-6300 in a dual purpose set-up (5.1 for movies, almost always 2.0 for music). The player I have right now is a panasonic dvd f-65, obviously I use it for both movies and music. It is connected to the reciever with a toslink connection.

I'm considering the purchase of the Parasound 2100 pre-amp and 2125 power amp. Also thinking about th B&K Reference 5 S2 pre and Reference 125.2 S2 power amps.

I've read several reviews on all of these, but haven't had a chance to listen to any as of yet. I was curious if anyone
is familiar with any of these items.

Is it possible to connect your computer playing realplayer to your audio system? If so how?

Thought that this might be of interest to some. Nothing really "new" here, but still an interesting article.

My friend offered me the free opportunity to go to Farm-Aid the other day, and I went and had an excellent time. Matisyahu, Derek Trucks Band, Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds Neil Young, and the Allman Brothers were all highlights, but there were a couple serious issues.

My system -- NAD 325BEE integrated amp, NAD 525BEE CD player, Epos ELS-3 speakers -- sounds great most of the time with most music, but I've noticed that the sound sometimes becomes muddy and confused when playing complex rock or pop music at high volumes. I don't want to make too much of this. I most often listen to jazz played at moderate levels, and for that music the system produces clear sound that is extremely involving. Still, I'm curious to know what's going on.
