Mrs. Sanford and I burned up all day and into the evening at the Austin City Limits Music Festival to hear Bob Dylan. My god! He was horrible. Tangled Up in Blue was unrecognizable. I am just grateful he didn't attempt to sing The Hurricane song. It was the young ones that started the mass exodus that followed. I'm not kidding. It was The Exodus. Not one person told me to STFU when I kept yelling over and over again during, Things Have Changed, "He won a f*cking Oscar for this song! He won a f*cking Oscar for this song!...." The vast majority probably thought I was just making a joke or too stoned to care. After that I left Mrs. Sanford alone to go take a piss. There was no line at the outhouse. In the few minutes it took me to take care of that and try to figure out what was laying around the dark outhouse and get back to the vicinity of Mrs. Sanford the entire landscape of people had changed. All the flags and sh*t and been knocked down. I almost panicked. I kept hearing her yelling, "LAMONT!", so I just stood still in this wave of people leaving as fast as they could until she could take it no more and came and got me. Turns out she was like only 15 yards away.
