Because, three weeks later, my back, butt, and legs were still hurting, I decided to go to the doctor. My doctor is an audiophile. He had had a wonderful time at the Home Entertainment Show last May. He's mostly attracted to the more exotic loudspeakers such as the Proclaim Audioworks DMT-100 and Loiminchay Mandarin Supreme, but he's also very enthusiastic about smaller, more affordable designs from ZVOX and Audioengine.
Anyway, my doctor thinks I have a slightly herniated disc, but says I'm doing fairly well, all things considered. He demonstrated a few stretches and suggested I take Aleve, two pills every ten hours, for the pain. If things don't get better, he can recommend a physical therapist, but that'll mean a four to six month commitment. Even if things don't get better, I think things'll be getting better, if you know what I mean.
In addition to delivering herniated discs, the PSB SubSeries 5i seems to impart a deeper, wider soundstage and offers obviously fuller, tighter, more controlled bass.
