Always good to see Fairport Convention getting some exposure. FYI, the Fairfield Halls concert material on disc 6 is not all previously unreleased. Six of the 15 songs from the concert are on the Fairport Live Convention CD, which I believe was/is a UK-only issue first released in 1974 (the Fairfield Halls concert was actually in 1973, not '74 as stated in the post) and reissued in 2005 (still available on amazon uk and on amazon us as an import). Anyway, not a big deal. (I believe the error may stem from fact that Amazon US says the tracks are "previously unreleased." Amazon UK instead lists the venue/show for each track.)
[CORRECTION ADDED: "Fairport Live Convention" actually was released in the US on vinyl in 1974, except under a different title, "A Moveable Feast." The FLC 2005 reissue includes five bonus tracks from their 1974 Sydney show.]
BTW, to me a really interesting little-known Fairport-related nugget is Robert Plant and Kristina Donahue doing Battle of Evermore at the Fairport Cropredy Festival 2008. I never liked original version of the song on Led Zep IV (Zoso). But this version is great because Kristina holds up the Sandy Denny part admirably and Plant, in contrast to the album original, doesn't sound like a preening jackass. I was actually surprised and he rose in my estimation. There's a version on YouTube but the sound quality is poor. Check out the Spotify version (search on Cropredy).
