Thirsty for some new music? I have a hard time understanding people when they say they have nothing new to listen to. It seems like everyone's making complete albums available for easy streaming these days. Here are a few I've just sort of stumbled upon over the last couple of days:
Times New Viking's new album is called Born Again Revisited and can be streamed here. (I'm digging the slacker fist-pump of "These Days" and the DIY jangle of the title track.) You can also listen to Girls' Album there, or specifically here. ("Lust For Life" and "Hellhole Ratrace" turn me on. I'm all alone with my good intentions, too! I've got a sad song in my sweet heart, too!) A Brief History of Love by The Big Pink is right here. (I don't really like The Big Pink too much, but their use of images is extremely nice.)
Would you like to see something sort of creepy and disturbing? Fever Ray's "Seven."
Would you like to see something sort of violent and sexy? Health's "Die Slow."
Would you like to see something sort of strange and beautiful, but somehow stripped of human emotion? Grizzly Bear's "While You Wait For The Others."
