Pretty In Pink

So, just when I start getting used to my">http://blog.stereophile.com/stephenmejias/my_new_rega_p3-24/">my white P3-24, Rega goes and introduces three new high-gloss finishes: Orange, Blue, and Pink. Can you believe it? I feel kinda ripped-off. Had I known, I might've gone with Orange. I might've gone with Blue. I might've gone with Orange and blue. (Let's go Mets.) Hell, I'm in touch with my feminine side and secure in my masculinity; I might've gone with pink.

Manufacturer's Evening at Stereo Exchange

I was very impressed by the hi-fi dealers I encountered while at the 2009">http://blog.stereophile.com/ssi2009/">2009 Salon Son & Image show in Montreal. Representatives from Son-Or-Filtroniquehttp://www.filtronique.com/en/default.asp">Son-Or-Filtronique;, Audio">http://www.audiobasics.com/">Audio Basics, and Coup">http://www.cdfaudio.com/">Coup de Foudre seemed intelligent, enthusiastic, friendly, energetic, and cool: All qualities the high-end audio industry could use more of.

Back In Action

Alright, back in action. Montreal was a blast. Seriously the most fun I've ever had at a hi-fi show. This was due partly to the fact that we didn't have to adjust to a different time zone, partly to the overall laidback, friendly atmosphere, and partly to the smaller, less demanding size of the show. And I didn't even get sick!

Salon Son & Image

Back in the winter of 1999, just a few months before I started working for Stereophile, I took a month-long train trip. One of my first stops was in Montreal. I could not have spent more than three or four days there, but they were a very fulfilling and memorable three or four days.
