Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.11
The November 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. On the cover, you’ll see a close-up of the Aerial Acoustics Model 20T V2 loudspeaker, which John Atkinson praised for its silky treble and weighty, well-defined bass. An interview with Aerial’s designer, Michael Kelly, appears herehttp://www.stereophile.com/interviews/467/index.html">here;, while Michael Fremer’s review of the original 20T can be found herehttp://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/404aerial/index.html">here…;.

The December 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. Our final issue of 2009 includes our annual “Products">http://www.stereophile.com/features/1208poty/index9.html">Products of the Year” feature. People love this feature. We’re already receiving fun complaints from manufacturers whose products are not pictured in the article, complaints from readers because we only vote on products we’ve actually listened to, complaints from angry moms because we didn’t pick their children to play one of the lead roles in “A Christmas Carol.”
Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.4 (April 2009)
The April 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. The April issue is always a bear, but this one was a hungry, 15 foot tall, 2 ton Kodiak. It's kind of a miracle that it even exists.
Now On Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.5
The May 2009 issue is now on newsstands. The cover's so bright, you gotta wear shades. See that orange LP sitting on the SME 20/12 turntable? That's my copy of Boris's awesome Smile.

The June 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. At first, I was against the green border and font for the front cover, favoring a">http://blog.stereophile.com/stephenmejias/in_shades_of_orange/">a red and orange motif instead, but I now think the green treatment looks excellent. It is appropriate for spring, and the Klipsch Palladium P-39F loudspeaker seems to leap right from the page. Like a (really freaking) gigantic squirrel leaping from the branch of a blossoming tree.
Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.7
The July 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. You should be able to spot it easily. It's all dressed up in orange and blue (like Colorado's favorite football team, the Denver Broncos) in tribute to the cover model, Boulder's incredible 1021 Disc Player.
Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.8
The August 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. See that spiffy-looking integrated amplifier/USB DAC thingamajig on the cover? That's the Peachtree Nova. When I was at Stereo">http://blog.stereophile.com/stephenmejias/david_solomon_and_the_peachtr… Exchange a couple of months ago, Novas were just flying off the shelves. Old guys were digging them, young guys were digging them, and girls were digging them, too. Everyone wanted one. Can't blame 'em, really. The Nova offers a lot in a tidy, attractive package. Look at that styling, all retro-modern Eames with its high profile and its real-wood veneer wrapping round those perfect curves!

The September 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. What do you think of the cover? Is it exciting enough for you? Does it make you want to rescue our darling magazine from the clutches of the ungodly newsstand and kiss it? Did we obscure too much of our logo with the big Wilson MAXX 3? Did you think that our magazine was called Stereop?
Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.33 No.1
The January 2010 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. Hooray! A new volume! A new year! Twelve more issues of Stereophile! Whee! We are pretty excited about starting the year off with a review of a PC soundcard. And at just $200, the ASUS Xonar Essence is the least expensive product to ever grace the cover of our magazine. Plus, it’s got that pretty golden tiger thing on it. What aroused John Atkinson’s interest, however, was the ASUS’s claimed signal/noise ratio of 124dB: “True high-end territory.”

The October 2010 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. On the cover, you’ll see a pretty much life-sized image of Logitech’s Squeezebox Touch, a real dandy of a hi-fi product that costs just $300 and seems to captivate everyone who comes into contact with it. The normally unflappable Kal Rubinson ends his review (page 118) by advising, “Get a Squeezebox Touch right now. You’ll never look back.” Even our cover photographer, Eric Swanson, fell in love with the little thing. He bought his sample. We chose the Mobile Fidelity version of Beck’s Sea Change for the cover art because it connects with Robert Baird’s feature piece on outstanding reissues (page 111), and because the colors are pretty. The colors featured on the Squeezebox Touch’s display dictated those used by our graphic designer, Natalie Baca, in her cover treatment.
