Not the One about Abstinence
This was going to be an Andy Warholish entry about how boring we can be at Stereophile. Elizabeth's idea, actually; not mine.

Nothing So Out of the Ordinary, Exactly
I met John DeVore at last year's Consumer Electronics Show. Wes Phillips directed me: "Have you been to the DeVore">http://www.devorefidelity.com/">DeVore Fidelity room yet?"
"Nuh-uh," I shook my head.
"You should check it out. I think John'll have some stuff that'll interest you."
"Alright," I nodded.

Noveller: Desert Fires
Sarah Lipstate is Noveller. Desert Fires, her full-length follow-up to 2009’s Red Rainbows, is one of three Noveller releases I enjoyed in 2010 and one of the very few compact discs I purchased this year. Tomorrow, December 9th, Sarah Lipstate will perform an improvised set with Shahin Motia (Oneida/Inferior Amps) at Cinders Gallery (103 Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn).

Now On Newsstands: 2011 Stereophile Buyer's Guide
The 2011 Stereophile Buyer’s Guide will be on newsstands through February 8, and can also be found in our new Stereophile Shop. It makes a great stocking stuffer!
Now on Newsstands: Stereophile, Vol.32 No.10
The October 2009 issue of Stereophile is now on newsstands. I hope you will enjoy reading this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together. It was a lot of work, but it was also incredibly satisfying. The front cover is, in my opinion, our best and boldest of the year, which is appropriate because this issue not only includes our popular "Recommended Components" list but also pays tribute to Stereophile's founder, J. Gordon Holt, who passed away in">http://stereophile.com/news/j_gordon_holt/">in July. It is indeed a special issue.
