Amp Question from a new poster

Forums

Hello all,
I'm looking for a stereo subwoofer amp that has all the standard
X-over adjustments, a reasonable amount of power, and it needs to have speaker level input and output .
This is the important thing. because I'm using an
integrated amp (Linar model 10) which will not support
line level input/output.
I'm aware of the Gallo Ref 3 SA amp, and it sounds good, but
still is not available as far as I know.
Does anyone know of a stereo sub amp with speaker terminals
on the input and output?

Thanks

The review sample was so good, I bought it....

Howdy,

Just read the Stereophile e-newsletter, and one of the sections caught my eye:

"...Buy a Patek Phillipe or a Porsche Cayenne and your neighbors will be impressed, or at least not regard you as crazy. But spend that same money on an amplifier or a pair of speakers and, as a Stereophile reader recently wrote me when canceling his subscription, "With all the crap going on in the world and you clowns are stressing over the next platinum-coated piece of electronics . . . You all should be ashamed of yourselves."

I really love the comments tool, but I wish it would notify me of when new comments are left for old blog entries. Because it doesn’t, I have to scroll through each entry and check. This isn’t such a big deal, but it does mean that I’ll miss a few comments every now and then, or that it’ll take me a few days to get around to them. And that’s not cool because web-time flies.

KLH 9 power supply schematics

Forums

Hello,I was searching on the net and this posting came up. I need information about the KLH 9 power supply or drawings of the same. As my power supply on one isn't working and wonder if it could be a cap or something? Before I melt the wax I would like some kind of schematic. Our there caps in the wax? Both panels work great! Can anyone help?

Luxman vacuum pump problem

Hi All!

My old faithful is a Luxman PD310 record player with a VS300 power supply/vacuum pump. Recently, the vacuum sensing circuitry seems to have gone with the result that the pump works, but times out in stead of maintaining the vacuum needed to hold the record "clamped".

I believe this is a common problem with these units. However, I've been unable to find anyone who can fix it. Any suggestion to who can, preferably in Europe, would be most welcome!

KLH speakers from 1970

Forums

I'm thinking of recreating the stereo system that my parents bought for me back in 1970. I can track down the receiver but can't recall the speaker model. I know it was a two-way bookshelf KLH. I figure, while this is not stereophile equipment, there must be some knowledgable person out here who can tell me what model they might be. The current KLH company can't help with anything prior to 1989.

Thanks in advance.
