I was recently in the process of building a second system where I had the need for either:

1) 3 ft interconnects, 17 ft speaker cables
2) 17 ft interconnects, 9 ft speaker cables

When I did the research, I found that there are divided opinions on this subject. I understand that long interconnects are more subject to picking up noise from other sources, but that was not a factor in my case. Amplifier power was also not a factor.

How long before the Digital Copy comes out? I have been waiting with bated breath for the 802D review (will be auditioning these next week!) Can

I am planning to buy a new Denon 3805 Receiver and Primus 360 speakers. I have noticed that Denon 3805 (List price ~ $ 1000) is available on EBAY for around ~$ 700. However there is no manufacturer warranty available. These receivers are being sold as brand new (and is being said that these are NOT B cat. or returned).
Infinity Primus, similiarly, are available for about $350 + s&h. List price is considerably higher.

What is the catch here ? Are these really brand new ? if so why is there is no warranty provided ??

For years I have greeted the arrival of the current Stereophile by reading the letters. Far and away, Karim Fidel's is the best I've ever read. Since it appears in the issue where the year's outstanding products are listed, I propose it be awarded some sort of prize or other recognition. Great stuff, great comedy style, great final sentence.

Does anybody know if Red Trumpet is still operating. Placed order and was debited but no product. Unlike these guys. Phone line not working. Web looks normal. Have been prompt and easy business in past transactions. Any info would be appreciated.
