Tonal Balance and Deep Bass

Tonal Balance and Deep Bass

As I mentioned yesterday, I had, for some time — long before acquiring a hi-fi, in fact — fought the idea of placing my couch against the rear wall of my living space. When I finally did, however, I found that things both looked and sounded different. And not only different, but: better. And I'm not confusing the two. So, what's up with this?

What's up with that? Come on people, let's get with it. Enough with all the posts about equipment, both real and imagined. How about discussions about the meat of matter, the heart beat of this whole stinking hobby - music, for crying out loud!

The Stereophile Jalapeno Pepper

I tried, so many times, to write a little something about the Stereophile pepper and golf-coins, but could never get the ideas to grow, could never get them to drop in the hole. See here how Kristina handles it, while kindly declining our CD case (and CDs, in general).
Class A Integrated Amps

Forums

I brought Pathos Classic One MkII. I auditioned the amplifier a year before Sam Tellig's review, but after reading the review I decide to buy one. Of course, the amplifier had some strong points but it also had somewhat anemic handling capabilities in my system and relies on the cold and lean side of spectrum. One and only product made me not believe the qualities, the detail, the immediancy and the guts I was hearing: Jadis Orchestra Reference integrated/control amplifier KT90 equipped.
