Ok, Hello everyone, new to ya'lls forum and to this vintage receiver stuff. SAE A202 SAE P102 had been driving my Martin Logans The Sequels. loved, loved them, then my roomates JVC AX-1 amp crapped out, did some research thought a Marantz 2270 would be the tank it's known for his system, bought one on Ebay, for grins hooked it up to ML's, to say I was blown away is an understatment, Diana Krall and friends are in the house, LP's get out of here!!!
hi there. so i'm looking for a decent pair of active studio monitors that are going to be used solely for music listening on the computer.
i've read several reviews about these kind of speakers and i just can't decide at all:
-how's the bass response on those speakers? i'm used to those cheap 2.1 systems with a "subwoofer". i don't want a subwoofer but also i fear that studio monitors won't have enough bass "punch".
-what brands would you recommend me? i was thinking on M-Audio, Event and Behringer. the M-Audio DX4's are probably the ones i would choose right now.
Bob's new disc is quite good!
Excellent, even.
Perhaps I'd go so far as to call it fantastic.
It's in keeping with the tone of his recent live shows - kind of with a country review flavor and a little swingin'.
I could see Willie stealing a few of these gems, Leon Redbone, too.
No clinkers in the lot, great lyrics, and Bob uses his voice in ways that allow him to be nicely expressive and emotive.
I'd give it a solid endorsement!
