In-Wall Speakers for a tight budget

Forums

Hi everyone,

I am currently building a house and would to put in-wall speakers in the ceiling for the living room. In my head, I wanted to put together 2 pairs for Rear and Mid and then some nice non wall mounted fronts. However I need to be as cheap as possible but still retain good sound for movies and an Xbox360.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks everyone!

problem with Technics turntable

When I use my turntable, there is a loud humming, and only one channel works, it sounds like crap to the point now where I can't listen to any of my 1000+ records. Should I just replace my cartridge, or do I need to replace the whole turntable. Equipment details follow:
Technics turntable, model SL-BD22 FG Servo (purchased circa 1995), Stanton L720 cartridge.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you.

CT-1 AC Tester

CT-1 AC Tester

Plug the CT-1 into an outlet and it will measure the THD+N noise carried on your line. You can plug headphones into the output to hear the noise pollution, or you can measure it with a test instrument. The CT-1 will also alert you to DC on your line.

Dussun was showing a line of power conditioners (500W, 800W, and 1200W) that offered waveform shaping, regulation, isolation, and DC suppression. Oh yeah, and they offer 85% efficiency. The X-1200 retails for $2500.
