I am currently looking to set up a nice little stereo system I currently just have a Onkyo 603 and cheap set of speakers to tide me over. I recently came across the 7001 marantz amps and was wondering if the KI version was worth the extra cash (if anyone has either your opinions) Ive read some reviews and they said these are quite warm amps so I was looking at using them with a pair of JBL L880 or maybe L890s. Do you think I would see any real improvement sound quality wise over running those speakers off my 603??? HELP ME JEBUS HELP ME!!!

Im currently looking at a set of fronts and wondering what peoples thoughts are on these speakers and out of the two is it worth going up to the 890s over the 880s??
Also does anyone have anything they would suggest that is better in this price range????

So this is my first post sorry if it is not the right place. I have just recently gotten the audio bug. I am in the early stages of trying to make the most out of the random odds and ends that I already own. I have been taking older beat up speakers and rebuilding them. Mostly just new enclosures and soldering heavier wire to the leads. I've had pretty good success so far.

So the reviewer left me confused. The measurements didn't impress either. And you have to wonder with 10db peaks and valleys at 1/6 octave what the heck Wes heard anyway?
