missing customer service for missing issue

Hello Stereohile,

I'm so tired of asking you to send me a replacement copy for Dec 06 Stereophile. First I emailed tens of times and then left messages at the sub service bulletin board. To my surprise, there was no feedback at all. It's April now and you have neglected my requests for 4 months. What an absolute disregard and indifference! Is there any one at customer serivce department? Don't you check your email server and its operating policy at all?

My account number is 000897413. Please give me a feedback let alone replacement copy.

Meadowlark Blue Heron 2s

Ok, for those of you with an extra $6000 on hand or who had intended to spend about that much for new speakers I am jealous. I do not have $6000, but anyone who does sure had better consider these Meadowlark Blue Heron 2s on AudiogoN. Only one of the best sounding and least fatiguing speakers around. No longer made, destined to become a legend.

free amp. suddenly stops working.

Forums

just found an old fisher "studio standard" model number CA-2220 in an old house. Took it home, plugged it up, and it worked/sounded beautifully. but after i moved it to my new place it worked for 2 days, then crapped out. this is what it does: you turn it on, the meters on the output go all the way to the top, an no sound comes out at all. Is it fried?

I apologize for being.........

ME. Like I'm not a white man who has wires and outlets!!! Only thing is I can't hear it. sorry for that, I'm, a good person though, 100% of my stuff has wires attached, many of the wires are also black, a few brown ones too, so I know what it's like to have wires. hopefully I will survive, with this afliction. Steve has warned me of my posts, which are not in agreement with the masses who have wires they can hear. I musta' said a badd thing.

Rings Like a Bell

Rings Like a Bell

As I transfer from the R line to the west side IRT, I'm frequently frustrated or surprised by the size of the crowds attending to subway musicians. What I almost never am is impressed by the performances. But that would be different, surely, if, say, an internationally known musician was playing on his Gibson ex Huberman Strad—wouldn't it? A performance like that would be guaranteed to have music lovers swooning with pleasure.

Acurus DIA 100 or Luxman amp?

A second-hand Acurus DIA 100 Integrated Amp recently drew my attention. It's asking price is US300. I'm considering swapping either or both my Luxman L1 and Luxman A005. Being a novice on hi fi matters, I somehow feel that this shoudl be a more decent piece of equipment than what I have in my possession. I wonder also would my recent purchase of a pair of Elac BS 204 be more of an appropriate match with the Acurus.

Could anyone give me any advice?
