Stats

When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to become a professional baseball player. I loved playing ball, and all of the adult men in my family seemed to respect it, too. When I wasn't playing ball, I'd be in my room, listening to the radio, and drawing up my own baseball cards. Collecting cards, too, was a wonderful hobby. The photographs on the fronts were nice, but I was more interested in the information on the backs. Even when UpperDeck came out with their glossy, action photos, Topps cards remained, in my mind, the absolute best. Topps cards listed all of the stats for every single season of a ballplayer's career, even going back at times to his minor league years. How can you beat that?

"Come As You Are" came to an end, and Billy Joel took its place. I lifted myself slowly, studied the radio, and pressed the button marked "Band." Just as ever, like magic, an AM station came through, covered in static and fuzz. It took me only a few moments to find the familiar voice and the catchy jingle, "Let's go Mets! F – A – N!"

Headphone amps

Good morning all,
Hope you can help me out. I am looking to add a headphone amp to my system. Most likely the MF x-can v3. My source is a Music Hall 25.2 cd player with HD650 cans. My question is since the cd player is the only source for my system, can I integrate the headphone amp into my main system without degrading the sound when not using the headphones? Or, to get the best performance either way, am I going to have to re cable the cd player back and forth between the preamp and headpgone amp depending on if I'm using the phones or not? Hope this makes sense.

Being a Spoon fan...

Hola,

Been listening to the new Spoon disc, "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga," which is kinda like the previous Spoon disc, "Gimme Fiction" (which I loved.)

The new disc is a little "Spoon Meets Fountains Of Wayne," but the first song continues a certain thing I think Spoon does, which is keep a certain je ne sais que from disc to disc on track one.

Spoon is good at song hooks that make you think that "something is about to happen," in a non-musical sort of way. They can time their guitar and piano to make you wonder if your door is about to be kicked in by the feds.
