Hot Rod Hondas, Lawyers on Hogs(I'd love to see them at an Angel's ride in,he,he), Big Fat Girl Scout Mothers selling Girl Scout cookies, Idiots who graduate from Yale, Bloggers who complain, Swastika Tatoos, Sick Children, Misstreated animals, Idiots who think they know everything. Engineers who think they're scientists, Scientists who think they're engineers..........sorry, that demonizing thing got me going
First of all here's a link to the All Music Guide review of The Bad Plus' latest release Prog
Okay, so I'm still a newbie & here's a newbie question. My wife & I watched some opera DVDs through the Harbeth Super HL5 and really loved it. So I was wondering if we can do some movie-watching through Super HL5? I'm worried because of the special effects, explosions & hard peaks of some movies, plus I've NEVER seen Harbeth owners post that they watch movies through them, too. So is it ill-advised to do so? What about at lower volumes? Thank you.
After reading over and over again online and in the press about how audiophiles (or more likely, audiophools) are such ridiculous fools I think it is time for us audiophiles to take a closer look at just why this keeps happening. The following is my analysis of the situation, please feel free to comment and/or enhance.
Am finally taking the big step of upgrading my old early-90s era stereo system (Adcom amp/pre-amp (GFA 555 and GTP 555II); Definitive BP8s; NAD CD/DVD player). The first step is completed with the purchase today of PSB Synchrony OneB's. The rest I really could use some advice with. Since I am a part of a family unit (one could say "King", I supppose, but that is purely self-delusion), I need something with the flexibility to do a good job with movies while at the same time satisfy my need to spend some quality time picking apart some favorite CDs.
Has anyone had any experience with Odyssey Audio? Iv been looking at their Odyssey Audio Mono Extremes via there web site. There are some good reviews on AudioReview. The Stratos have had 137 reviews with a review of 4.92 out of 5.
Also there Is the McCormack DNA-225 that doesnt have the great reviews that Odyssey Audio has but Steve McCormack does upgades through SMc Audio that are supposed to be great.
Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knows what I can buy to make at least one input into a digital one in the JBL Urei Broadcasting Console 1680s series (it's vintage). We want to plug in i-Pods and laptops.
We're also a radio station on an extremely low budget and were thinking of buying a digital console. Do any of you have any experience (positive or negative) with the Audioarts Air 1 Broadcasting Console. Is it reliable in the long run, what about repairs, sound quality??? etc.
Thank you.. Any replies greatly appreciated!
