Maybe the claim could be, less germs, better sound, cus microbes laying on the insulation of the wires cause the electrons to get ill, fatigued, slow down causing sluggish sound. Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knows what I can buy to make at least one input into a digital one in the JBL Urei Broadcasting Console 1680s series (it's vintage). We want to plug in i-Pods and laptops.

We're also a radio station on an extremely low budget and were thinking of buying a digital console. Do any of you have any experience (positive or negative) with the Audioarts Air 1 Broadcasting Console. Is it reliable in the long run, what about repairs, sound quality??? etc.

Okay, so I'm still a newbie & here's a newbie question. My wife & I watched some opera DVDs through the Harbeth Super HL5 and really loved it. So I was wondering if we can do some movie-watching through Super HL5? I'm worried because of the special effects, explosions & hard peaks of some movies, plus I've NEVER seen Harbeth owners post that they watch movies through them, too. So is it ill-advised to do so? What about at lower volumes? Thank you.

After reading over and over again online and in the press about how audiophiles (or more likely, audiophools) are such ridiculous fools I think it is time for us audiophiles to take a closer look at just why this keeps happening. Am finally taking the big step of upgrading my old early-90s era stereo system (Adcom amp/pre-amp (GFA 555 and GTP 555II); Definitive BP8s; NAD CD/DVD player). The first step is completed with the purchase today of PSB Synchrony OneB's. The rest I really could use some advice with. Since I am a part of a family unit (one could say "King", I supppose, but that is purely self-delusion), I need something with the flexibility to do a good job with movies while at the same time satisfy my need to spend some quality time picking apart some favorite CDs.
